Business Sign-Up for Holiday Treasure Hunt

The BIA is proud to present a day to celebrate the people and businesses that make Cabbagetown so special. We will be inviting the community to join us once again on Saturday, December 6th for Holiday in the Patch!
But how can businesses participate?
Participate in the treasure hunt by Treasure Trove Toronto with an Event, Activity, or Special: Last year, hundreds of families and people of all ages visited participating businesses thanks to the holiday treasure hunt!
How does it work? Visitors will visit "secret locations" - your business - as they receive text messages with clues throughout the hunt. The more businesses they discover, the more chances they have to win CASH PRIZES OF UP TO $1,000!
If your business would like to be included, you must run your own activities and specials within your store throughout the Holiday in the Patch day! Creating these experiences is the best way to connect with visitors and new customers in order to drive future customers and long-term sales.
You must be open and operating with your planned activity from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM on event day minimum with staff on hand to welcome participants and make the experience friendly and inviting!
COST PER BUSINESS TO PARTICIPATE: $100+HST.

Wreath-making workshops (perfect for a floral shop)
Holiday card-making workshops (perfect for a stationery store)
Gingerbread decorating (perfect for a coffee shop or bakery)
Ornament decorating
Dreidel competitions
Food & drink features (hot cocoa, mulled wine, hot apple cider, latkes, cookies, etc)
Pet holiday photos
Fire pits with roasting marshmallows
Holiday markets feat vendors
Face painting
Holiday storytime (Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, etc.)
Live music
Food bank donation drop-off
Holiday item sales & free samples
Work with your neighbours to run an event in-store
And more! The sky is the limit!*
*The only thing we ask is that no one host a Santa, as the BIA will already be hosting Santa's workshop.
Last Year, 84% of Holiday in the Patch visitors said that they are likely to return to participating businesses and 96% of businesses said that it helped them connect with the local community.
