Where To Find Us

Cabbagetown is one of Toronto’s most historic neighbourhoods, nicely contained within Gerrard Street to the south, the Don River on the east, Wellesley to the north, and Sherbourne to the west. Despite its homely and intimate landscape, Cabbagetown is surprisingly close to the downtown core, making it accessible by walking, biking, public transportation or driving.

Walking: Like the rest of downtown, Cabbagetown is built on a grid, making it easy to navigate by walking. You can walk to the neighbourhood from North, South, East or West. If you’re walking east of the Don Valley River, we recommend taking Riverdale Park Road for a beautiful view of the city and nature as you make the traversal from the East end to the downtown core.

Biking: Like walking, Cabbagetown can be accessed from North, South, East or West. There are plenty of bike paths and priority bike lanes in the area to give you a sense of security as a rider, and to let you reach our neighbourhood by bike. Dundas Street, Bayview Avenue, River Street, Spruce Street, Sumach Street, Winchester Street and Wellesley Street East are all examples of these, and all will lead right to Cabbagetown.

Public Transit: Various bus, streetcar and subway lines can help you get to Cabbagetown. The 65 Parliament bus runs from the 2 subway line at Castle Frank station and will take you for a nice tour down Parliament, one of the neighbourhood’s most iconic streets. Similarly, the 75 Sherbourne bus runs from Sherbourne station all the way down to the harbourfront. The 94 Wellesley bus connects to both Castle Frank & Wellesley station, allowing you to access Wellesley Street East from either the 1 subway line or the 2 line subway line. In regard to streetcars, the 506 College/Carlton line is the most reliable way to get to the heart of the neighbourhood. However, the 505 Dundas and 501 Queen will connect you to the outskirts of Cabbagetown, where the 65 bus can easily bring you North to the rest of the neighbourhood.

Driving: The Cabbagetown streets are easily traversable by car. Green P parking sites exist at 51 Aberdeen Avenue, 405 Sherbourne Street and 188 Carlton Street.
