Children will enjoy an engaging storytime facilitated by Children's Book Bank, featuring imaginative tales that inspire a love of reading and learning. Each interactive session will feature vibrant stories brought to life by Book Bank volunteers through expressive read-alouds and audience participation. These storytimes are designed to foster community through the joy of storytelling. If I Built a School by Chris Van Dusen about "a highly creative boy named Jack who dreams up the ultimate fantasy school, complete with hover desks, glass transport tubes, a 20-foot-tall robot chef, and field trips to Mars"
Twenty Questions by Christian Robinson about " It is an exploration of curiosity and the open-ended nature of imagination"
Collage Cardmaking Activity (30 mins) where children create either:
Agreeting card
A bookmark
A postcard
The cards would be built around prompts related to the story such as:
Create your favourite scene
Invent a new ending
Make a card for someone you love
Create your own book cover
Design a magical creature from the story
Although this event is catered towards children 9 and under, older children who enjoy younger content are welcome to join as well.
