Youth Employment Services: The Lighthouse Project (Mental Health & Employment Support)

Youth Employment Services (YES) offers The Lighthouse Project, a program designed to support job seekers who identify with a mental health disability through job search assistance and coaching.

For hiring businesses, this program can also be a practical partner if you’re looking to recruit while building a more supportive and inclusive workplace. YES can help you widen your candidate reach, strengthen your hiring process, and reduce friction when onboarding.

For employers, YES can:

  • Provide free workshops or presentations on topics related to mental health and employment

  • Provide coaching and supports for program clients (so candidates are better prepared and supported)

  • Offer HR support to employers

  • Organize and host hiring events

  • Advertise your vacancies to multiple networks of job seekers

  • Support employers in making employment inclusive for all

If your business is hiring for roles that can be trained on the job (retail, hospitality, admin support, entry-level operations), or if you want to strengthen retention by improving workplace inclusion, it’s worth connecting to learn how Lighthouse can support your needs.
