City of Toronto Red Tape Hotline Survey (Closes Jan 31, 2026)
The City of Toronto is collecting feedback from business owners on municipal “red tape” — including burdensome processes, permitting delays, and outdated or duplicative by-laws. This pilot program is intended to identify common regulatory pain points and inform improvements that make Toronto more business-friendly.
If you’ve experienced a frustrating permit process, unclear requirements, long service delays, or repeated steps that feel unnecessary, this is a direct way to document the issue. City staff will track and analyze submissions and report back to City Council with a summary of key issues, recommendations for changes, and an evaluation of the pilot.
Deadline: January 31, 2026
